A current Pre-COSS workbook needs to be completed and the Sponsor must register the completion of the Pre-COSS workbook as an Event Notification with Sentinel. If this is not completed, the candidate will not be eligible to attend the training. NOTE: This workbook must be carried out within 4 weeks of the COSS course date.

What do you need to know about Coss certification?

This 5-day Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, or COSS course is designed to build core competencies in the field of safety for adult learners. It examines safety theory and the application of these principles to safety related knowledge, skills, and competenices.

Do you need a pre-Coss workbook to attend Sentinel training?

A current Pre-COSS workbook needs to be completed and the Sponsor must register the completion of the Pre-COSS workbook as an Event Notification with Sentinel. If this is not completed, the candidate will not be eligible to attend the training.

How is a COSS work experience book verified?

Your Competence Competence Work Experience Book (COSS Log Book) must be verified by the Track Safety Assessor or a print out of the Sentinel Logbook from the Sentinel Database produced prior to starting the assessment (if either is not completed in accordance with NR/L2/CTM/021 then the assessment must not be allowed to proceed).
