Can I work at kletc while in basic training??

Kansas law prohibits law enforcement officers from working as officers while they are enrolled and attending a basic training course at KLETC.

Can I sponsor myself to admit to kletc??

Kansas law does not permit "self-sponsorship" academy admissions. In other words, you must first be hired by a law enforcement agency before admission to KLETC or any of the certified and authorized satellite academy basic training programs.

What is kletc’s safety policy??

Safety - Safety is KLETC’s highest priority. Comply with all safety postings, verbal and written directives. Please observe all safety rules and instructions, be aware of tornado shelter areas, fire exits, and emergency first aid stations. Report all injuries and unsafe conditions to KLETC staff. 2.
