How much time do you have to complete Ironman??

Most Ironman races allow you 17 hours to complete all three parts of the race. Usually, the race begins at 7 a.m. You are expected to finish the swim in 2 hours and 20 minutes; the bike ride done by 5:30 p.m.; and the marathon completed by midnight. If you are looking for something less challenging, consider the Ironman 70.3 series.

How to become an Ironman??

  • get a coach
  • prepare to spend a lot of time on the bike, in the pool, and running so plan your life accordingly
  • eat well
  • sleep a lot
  • get buy in from your loved ones
  • spend money on contact points - gloves, shoes, saddle, bib, etc
  • learn to stretch
  • buy a good gps based watch (and bike computer)
