With the release of dicamba-tolerant soybeans in 2017, the need for training on the RUP dicamba products was born. If you are unable to attend an in person training the online training program is available to you. It is designed to fulfill the label requirements for three new RUP dicamba products: Xtendimax, Engenia, and Fexapan.

Is there any training for dicamba applicators in UNL?

UNL will not offer the training as in past years and NDA is not posting the names of trained applicators on the NDA website. All applicators of restricted use dicamba products must follow the required record keeping as outlined on the restricted dicamba labels, which includes evidence of completed dicamba applicator training.

How to get Rup dicamba training in Nebraska?

Out-of-state reciprocity: Please contact your state's pesticide regulatory agency to determine if your state will accept Nebraska's RUP dicamba training. The following is a list of tools and resources that can help you use the RUP dicamba products safely, legally, and effectively in Nebraska.

Do you need a license to use dicamba in Nebraska?

You must hold a valid applicator's license and receive annual, state-authorized, dicamba- or auxin-specific training to use any of these four products. Training taken in 2019 will not carry over to 2020. Training opportunities include university-provided sessions and registrant-provided sessions approved by the Nebraska Dept. of Agriculture (NDA).

What do you need to know about dicamba training?

You must be a certified applicator to apply dicamba over-the-top products. It is possible in your state that the certified applicator training could include the dicamba training as well. For more information, contact your state lead pesticide agency.

Dicamba training is not required if you’re applying dicamba corn products (unless it is the above-mentioned products). Second, pesticide training of any kind is not the same as dicamba training.
